We Are The World 25 For Haiti

Okay, this just needs a blogging. So 25 years ago, Quincy Jones came up with a genius idea to gather all the great artists at that time into one studio and make a song dedicated to raise awareness of what's going on in Africa. The song was written by Michael Jackson and Lionel Richie, and performed by artists that are considered legends and pioneers till this day.

Now, 25 years later, awareness needs to be raised for disaster in Haiti. Thus, Jamie Foxx and Lionel Richie took stance and gathered the greats of today to make our generation's rendition of "We Are the World." Just for this blog, I'm going to set my anti-Haiti opinions aside and present the situation as it is. It seems to fit together perfectly: 25 years since the original recording, disaster that needs to be recognized, people in need, the recent passing of Michael Jackson. Perfect idea, perfect timing, it must be fate... only if the song was perfect...

Justin Bieber? Watch the original video and notice how they're all recognizable, even today. They were legends and voices of their generation. Where does Justin Bieber fit into all of this? (honestly, who the fuck is he?) And for him to take Lionel Richie's position from the original song...How did he even allow this? And the rap part? But I like the Wyclef rendition performing in Haitian and all. And Celine Dion hasn't lost a damn thing. I'm going to keep my opinions short and leave it all for you to decide...but they need to drop Justin Bieber and either drop Janet Jackson's part or have her fully replace MJ's parts because her face showing up without a voice (that's noticeable) out of no where is just scary. That is all. Here's the original for comparison.

Came up from the bottom of the eye exam ZOOM
Now I’m like the biggest G up in the room,
